Assist with Frederick County 8/18/2007 |

August 18, 2007 at 0549 hours, Ladder 2, Rescue Engine 1, and Winchester Duty Officer 140 were dispatched to 1659 Berryville Ave (Clarke Motors Inc.) for a possible structure fire in Frederick County. Ladder 2 responded with FF Moats, Sgt. Hawse, FF Moore, and FF Still. Frederick County Units arrived on scene with smoke showing from the rear of the structure. On the arrival of Ladder 2 the crew assisted Rescue Engine 1 with deploying the attack line and FF Moore made entry to the building. Sgt. Hawse and FF Moore advanced into the structure and quickly found electrical cleaning equipment that was left on and over heating. The power was disabled to the equipment and a more thorough search was conducted. The fire was contained to the electrical equipment and the building was ventilated by opening the bay doors. Ladder 2 was back in service at 0629 hours.
